Privacy Policy

1. Summary

  • We do not collect, share, or sell personal data.
  • Your logs and settings are stored locally on your device.
  • Any sharing or third-party sync you initiate is completly under your control.
  • We run no servers and include no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

2. Data the app processes

  • On-device data: climb logs, training entries, timers, and app settings are saved on your device only.
  • Optional imports/exports: when you choose to import or export (e.g., CSV), data moves via the iOS share sheet to the destination you select (Files, Mail, cloud drives, etc.).
  • Optional board integrations: if you connect to third-party services (e.g., to sync sends from system boards), network requests go directly from your device to that service. klettrack’s developers do not receive your credentials or data. Credentials are stored, on device (e.g., iOS Keychain).
  • Media (e.g., photos, videos) that you add to your climb logs aren not stored within the app but only reference to it on your device.

3. Permissions

klettrack avoids permissions unless necessary. Typical use does not require access to Contacts, Microphone, or Location.

If a future feature asks for a permission, it will be requested just-in-time and used only for that feature.

4. Crash logs & diagnostics

We do not embed third-party analytics or crash SDKs.

If you opted into Apple’s system “Share with App Developers” setting, Apple may provide us with anonymized, aggregated diagnostics. These reports do not include information that directly identifies you and are used solely to improve stability.

5. Backups & iCloud

If you enable iCloud or device backups, iOS may include klettrack’s local data in your device backup. You control this in iOS settings.

6. Data retention and deletion

  • All app data is on your device.
  • To delete your data, you can delete entries in the app (where available) or delete the app to remove all app data from your device.
  • We hold no copies on any server.

7. Third-party services

If you choose to connect to or open links for third-party services (e.g., board platforms), those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Review those documents before using integrations.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update this text and the Effective date. Your continued use of klettrack after changes means you accept the revised policy.
